Waterford FC are thrilled to announce that Nancy Edogiawerie has becomes the latest member of Gary Hunt’s squad for the 2025 SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division.
Edogiawerie first joined the Blues in 2021 as part of our maiden WU17 side, and has become a mainstay within our academy sides since, before now making the step up to the senior side for the coming year.
A right-footed player, Nancy’s attacking ability will give Hunt’s side an added bonus in attacking areas, being capable of playing in any position in attacking-positions.
Head Coach Gary Hunt is excited to work with Edogiawerie for the coming year, commenting:
“I’m delighted to give Nancy the opportunity to continue her progress with the club which she has been part of since the inception of our Under 17s back in 2021. Similar to Zoey she is also another player that was part of our first group of girls to represent Waterford FC, something their coaches can take great credit in.
Nancy is still learning the game and this opportunity will give her the time she needs but she is also someone who will give opposition defenders a tough time with her pace and direct nature.”
