Waterford FC are delighted to announce the signing of Aoife Mulkern for the 2025 SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division campaign.
Mulkern makes the move to the Blues for the 2025 season having been involved with CK United’s WU19s for the 2024 season.
The 20-year-old joins the Blues with senior experience, having lined out for Treaty United’s women’s side in 2023 in the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division.
A powerful midfielder, Aoife will play an important role in Gary Hunt’s side this year in our historic first-ever senior women’s League of Ireland side.
Speaking on securing the services of Mulkern for 2025, Head Coach Gary Hunt is looking forward to seeing Aoife’s development with the Blues:
“Aoife is another one in the group who has shown fantastic levels of determination to show that she is ready to play at this level. She still has plenty of learning to do but I’m sure she will get there with the help of us all.
Aoife has connected quite well with the group since coming in and has created a good understanding alongside our other midfielders in the squad. I’m looking forward to seeing Aoife continue her development over the coming season.”
